Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples (born Aubrey Peeples) is an American actor and singer from the United States. She is best remembered for her role as Layla Grant, in Nashville (2012) drama as well as Claudia Shepard from Sharknado (2013). She also was in the character of Jerrica Jem in the film Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples, the child of Wendy Peeples and Ashley Peeples, grew up in Lake Mary Florida. She is the older sister of Ally. Aubrey appeared at the Orlando Repertory Theatre in her teens for a period of 10 years. Her speech was the valedictory for her class during her time at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University accepted her but agreed on entry twice after which she accepted the role she played in Nashville. Peeples appeared in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) as well as regular roles in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared in the television movies Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009) as well as The Good Mother. She played a prominent role on the Nashville series in which she played Layla Grant. Peeples discussed her bipolar illness in an interview for NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples among the most skilled actors who are under the age of 20 in September 2014.
